STORY
Mango eau-de-vie is produced from mango fruit collected from the streets of Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay.
The mango tree was introduced to this country before the advent of air-con, its wide canopy providing shade in a city that regularly hits 35°C+. The only problem is, that the invasive species produces small fibrous mangos that litter the pavements and attract flies.
3000 tons of mango detritus drops every year! So, the clever team over at Legado Organic Distillery decided to work with the non-profit organisation Re-Mango to turn them into a brandy

Aged for 18 months in ex-Malbec French Oak casks, Buscadores is a truly new flavour experience which introduces a new methodology to an old established order of spirits.
Produced at legado distillery, Part of the world’s oldest organic and Fair Trade certified sugar mill – we are weaving our prized history of being at the front edge or the organic movement and of being one of the earliest adopters of fair trade into the tale of our distillery.
